Butterfly Barns Day Nursery OFSTED Report

 

Butterfly Barns were so pleased to achieve an Outstanding OFSTED Report at their last inspection in 2017. This was an improvement from our Good Inspection in 2015 and it is testimony to all the hard work the team put in when caring for the children in our charge.

 

Summary of key findings for parents

 

This provision is outstanding

• The quality of staff’s interactions with children is of an exceptional quality. Children
  continually investigate and explore. They are extremely confident and happy. Children
  make rapid progress in readiness for the next stage of their learning.
• Children flourish in the extremely caring, safe and secure environment. Staff fully
  understand the needs of the children and their families. Parents are very appreciative of
  the exceptional lengths staff go to in tailoring the provision to meet the needs of all
  children.
• The nursery provides a rich and vibrant learning environment where the children are
  highly stimulated. Varied and imaginative play experiences both indoors and outdoors
  are delivered by staff who have excellent knowledge of the areas of learning and a
  clear understanding of how children learn.
• Staff and management work incredibly closely with other professionals. This helps to
  ensure children experience continuity of their learning and care needs. This is highly
  effective for children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.
• All staff are involved in actively reviewing and evaluating all aspects of the nursery.
  Parents’ and children’s views are actively sought and acted upon to drive continual
  improvement.
